If travelling in a straight line, it would not have been possible for a Fiat Uno to
leave white paint on the Mercedes front wing or door in the collision areas
(blue). The Fiat’s wing mirror would have also been knocked off.
These are the only two ways in which the Fiat could have left paint and
bumper material on the Mercedes without its wing mirror being knocked
off. But then the collision zones would not have matched.
