The unidentified Renault 11 in Rat’s photo. Was it there at the time,
or was it photographed during the reconstruction and used to replace
the car that was actually there?
It made no tyre marks in the glass debris.
Diagram drawn by the French police, showing the long skid marks
made by the Mercedes. The kink is significant as it shows that
either Henri Paul tried unsuccessfully to correct the skid or that the
Mercedes hit another car just before it crashed.
